A list of some companies that also provide mouse genotyping services.
1. TransnetYX, Inc. uses a proprietary and fully automated system (patents 7,011,943, 6,977,178) to deliver mouse genotyping results in 24 hours or 72 hours. A free trial of 25 samples is available to new customers and shipping supplies are free. Pricing is volume-dependent.
2. GeneTyper offers a free trial of 16 samples to new customers and their pricing is $8.95/sample for up to 200 samples, and $6.95/sample for >200 samples. GeneTyper requires the use of 0.2 mL 8-tube strips for sample submission.
3. Clongen Laboratories, LLC charges $22 per sample for <100 samples per month, and $15 per sample for >500 samples per month. Delivery of PCR results takes 5 to 14 days. For protocols provided by the client, there is a one time charge of $125, and $22 for each assay thereafter.
4. Charles River Laboratories offers many services, including genotyping (PCR and SNP assays), speed congenics, zygosity testing (gene copy number by qPCR), expression testing and molecular phenotyping.
5. SeqWright, Inc. offers PCR, qPCR and Southern hybridization genotyping assays. PCR assays are run on agarose gels and annotated. Results are delivered within 3 days of sample submission.
6. Taconic Farms, Inc. offers qPCR-based genotyping services that start at $16.50 per sample, and standard PCR genotyping for $22 per sample. They have an initial assay set-up (development) fee of $795. Taconic has an exclusive distributorship agreement for genotyping with TransnetYX.
7. MendelWorks offers standard PCR and qPCR genotyping services, as well as zygosity (copy number) testing. They provide 96-well plates for sample submission free of charge.
8. Laragen offers genotyping services from transgenic, knock-out and knock-in rodents. Turnaround time is 24 to 48 hours, and same day rush services are also available. They provide 8 free samples for new client
